Movie Pitch

Above is the video for my pitch to producers attempting to sell my movie for an investment of £50,000. Before presenting my pitch i conducted research to ensure it was accurate and as true to a real life movie pitch as possible, dependent of course on the limited resources at my disposle.  Below is the text from my pitch :

TARGET AUDIENCE :

1.For fans of  the Horror genre
2.Movies such as “Insidious", The Exorcist” and “Paranormal Activity”
3. Also appeals to fans of the Thriller/Suspense Genre.
4. Large fan base for this genre of movie means allot of tickets sales which means more money for the producers!
5. For example, Insidious grossed $91.9 million worldwide.

The Plot:

•A man after loosing his parents in an unexplained fire moves in to a new home. All is well at first, he meets the neighbours, gets familiar with the new surroundings, but after a while, something sinister appears to be lurking behind every closed door. 

 •Supernatural occurrences become frequent as the young man begins to hear voices, knocks and even catches sight of people in his new home. Convinced that his parents death has something to do with a demon, holding a curse against his family, the young man consults a priest.

•The priest inform the young man that he should pray, and stop looking for the thing which caused his parents death, if he keeps knocking on the devils door, somebody is going to answer it. Ignoring the priests advice, the young man returns home, enticing the demon further, a night of supernatural chaos ensues.

•The young man is later found by police, dead on his bedroom floor, un explained circumstances led to his death, was he and his family really plagued by demons, or was it all just in his head?...

Budget:

For just £100,000 you could have a 20% stake in this exciting project which Is almost guaranteed to gross a profit turnover much larger than your initial investment!
